Fabulous Felt Bags
Well, what a treat we had at Bailgate. Vivienne Morpeth from Barton-on-Humber talked about how attending a feltmaking workshop 18 years ago got her hooked and she's been felting ever since. She's even been to Australia to learn different techniques.
On Saturday she guided us through the process of making a seamless bag using a plastic resist - 'scuse the pun - it was irristable (sorry, couldn't resist it ... oops, did it again!)
Hopefully I'll be able to pictures up soon so you can see what we got up to.
Everyone managed to produce a lovely bag - beautiful colours. I loved the 'all-in-one' handle technique, which makes the bags very strong.
Will make a great display at the exhibition in November.
