26th Feb 2022 photo/fabric collage project with Kate at Joan's house

We met in Joan's house; she has a lovely kitchen diner extension which turns beautifully into a workshop for the few of us. It was a wonderful day of chat and absorbed silence.

There were three who took on the challenge  and they all had their own ideas and just got on with them. Jacqui used a magazine picture to enhance with detailed embroidery; Joan had seabird images which she put together into a bird dense shore; Anne created a semi abstract mix of beach images with printed fabric, lace and ribbon. So I just carried on with my sample piece. I think the pieces themselves are self explanatory and if you want to see more, then look below the requirements to see others I have made this year.

No stitch club on 19th Feb, but it may be on 26th Feb - watch this space

Janet Wain (chair of the Heritage Rooms committee) has let us know that there is a major leak at the Heritage Rooms and the water has had to be turned off so there is no water to any taps or to the toilet. Apparently work is unlikely to be completed by this Saturday. Other venues are vastly more expensive, so Judith suggested we go for a later Saturday.

Jean Copsey (in charge of the diary) has pencilled us in for the following one, Saturday 26th February which is the only free Saturday until our next stitch club on 19th March. Janet Wain thinks that things might not be sorted even by then. Jean has said she will keep in touch as soon as they get any updates and I will put these on the blog.
