Talking Threads - TV Show

There's going to be a10-part TV series about textile art starting mid-October 2009 on MyChannel (Sky 171). It is within the Country Channel slot.

Episode 1 - Silk Painting with Jill Kennedy - Wednesday 14th October, 7pm

Each episode will be repeated on Thursdays at 05:30 and 12:00, and on Sunday at 12:00.

A DVD of the series will also be available.

October Meeting

Tickets Available for Annette Emms Talk: Friday 26th June 2009

The Lincoln Bailgate Branch of the Embroiderer's Guild is pleased to announce that their June speaker will be Annette Emms, who will be talking about her exceedingly popular "Fairy Shoes". Tickets will be available for this Friday night talk at a cost of £5.00 per person, for non-branch members. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm prompt. Tickets Available for Paddy Killer Talk - Friday 29th May 2009

Lincoln Bailgate Branch is pleased to announce that Paddy Killer will be giving a talk at our May meeting on Friday 29th May 2009 on "Working with Fluffly Black Cats".

Tickets are available for this evening, so if you would like to attend, please contact the Secretary: Annette Coupland on: 01522 827629 or email: Annette Coupland to let her know your name(s) and numbers attending. The price for tickets are: £5.00. We also have 4 places left on Paddy's workshop on the Saturday. Cost for this is £22.00. If you are interested in the workshop, please contact Annette immediately, as we expect these last few places to go very quickly. The subject for the workshop will be: "The Ornamental Machine", using ornament such as that found in stately homes; Owen Jones, Meyer, Speltz etc. as inspiration to create surface patterns and textures. Paddy is an exciting speaker, so please do come along for the evening.

Stitch upon Stitch

Our branch exhibition is on at the Lincoln Library from 12th - 17th January 2009.

There will be a display of work from the Luttrell Psalter, so if you didn't manage to visit The Collection, you've a chance to see it! We will also be displaying completed work aimed at the Doddington Hall or the Tennyson Exhibitions, as well as any other type of work completed by our members.
