Bailgate AGM
It was the AGM on Friday and we have a new Committee
Chairman - Jacqui Armitage
Secretary - Lyn Rochester
Treasurer - Anne Petch
Plus - Kate Steane, Sheila Sherwood, Janet Taylor, Robyn Smith and Mary Paulger.
Following the business we had an informal 'Show and Tell' evening
Janet brought the laptop and gave a demo of the Branch and EG website and talked about 'Beaky' and 'Minerva'. Jacqui brought a lovely painting of her Harris hawk and told members how teachers had discouraged her at school. Val brought a casket that had won a prize, Catherine brought her fairy shoes and a casket. Michele talked about one of the YE Luttrell Psalter creatures and explained how it had been made. Mavis brought her colourful postcards and Jackie showed her goldwork and talked about her happy memories of needlework at school.
Thanks everyone, wish I'd remembered my camera!

Bonnets at the Drill Hall
Had an email from Norma to let us know that our Bonnets are displayed along with 50 odd others in the Drill Hall this week. The Lincoln Mystery Players are performing the Timberlake Wertenbaker Play 'Our Country's Good', which is all about the First Fleet and a Transportation Boat and a journey to Australia.

Bailgate September Meeting
Friday 24th September
We'll be having a 'show and tell' evening after the AGM. So please bring something to show us, the 'telling' part is optional, but we are all interested in what you're doing.
It's also time to hand in your 6x4 pieces inspired by Lincolnshire
The exhibition is looming too, there's still time to get your pieces finished ... there's going to be a sales area too.
See you soon ...
