January 2020 Stitch Club

Our next stitch club at the Thomas Garratt Building in Heighington on January 18th 2020 will be with Robyn Smith.  We are doing felt pictures however; there has also been a request to do felt bowls as well, so looks like there will be a choice of what can be done that day.

Requirements list will be available closer to the time.

Suffolk puff stitch club by Monika Leaman 16th Nov Heighington Thomas Garrett Rooms 10-3

The aim of the stitch club is to make a lavender bag out of 14 Suffolk Puffs (following the pattern given by Victorian Patchwork). But you might feel the need to get more creative and extend the idea, photos of further ideas will be shown on the day to whet your appetite.

Suffolk Puff Lavender Bag
Your 14 puffs can be out of the same material or different as here
You only need 1/8yd of 36in wide fabric; using up scraps you already have is the best option. Also Kate will have her massive bag of bits, free to all.
Kate and Vanda will be bringing lots of lavender.
cardboard (cereal packet stuff is fine)
scissors for card and for fabric
thread to match and needles
small amount of muslin to hold the lavender inside the sachet
if you want a hanging sachet bring a little bit of ribbon

All of the above will be available on the day.

If you would like to bring your own project and chat with the rest of us, that is fine.

Screenprinting workshops in Market Rasen much enjoyed by Vanda

Introduction to Screen Printing Workshops - for those with little or no previous experience in screen printing.
Date: Sunday 3rd November
Time: 10am - 4pm
Price: £60 per person - £20 non refundable deposit to be paid ASAP to confirm places.
(Limited spaces available)
Bank details for deposit: Miss Azra Bano
Account: 21663135
Sort code: 40 23 03
Parking: John Street Car Park
The aim of my Screen Printing Workshops is to introduce you to the joys of screen printing in a fun and relaxed environment and provide you with enough basic knowledge to be able to practice this craft at home.
All equipment will be provided but please remember to bring an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing.
I will provide fabric but feel free to bring anything else you may want to print on, this could be a T-shirt, cushion cover, table runner, napkins or other plain fabric in light colours preferably white/off white. Cotton and linen are best, synthetic fabrics are no good as they don’t always absorb the ink.
Please bring drinks, snacks and sandwiches on the day as most shops maybe closed and there will only be half an hours break.
Please note these workshops are run by myself independently and Clip will not be having any involvement, if you have any queries please contact myself as Clip staff will be unable to assist.
For any medical/health issues or assistance you might require on the day, including wheel chair access, please let me know in advance.
My contacts are as below with details of my social media accounts where you will be able to see what I do along with results of previous workshops. I will look forward to hearing from you.
