Further Details for the Silk Painting Stitch club by Kathy Paton

Silk paints and a practice piece of silk will be free (covered by expenses). Brushes, dishes, pipettes and pens if required, will be available.

You might like to create a panel for a bag. As the silk will be backed onto freezer paper you can stitch into it or embellish with beads.

There’s plenty of inspiration on Pinterest!

I will have some additional extras available- with Gutta outlines already printed. These are good to get to started - very effective and satisfying.

Gutta outline pictures, various designs, £1:05 each

Bookmark 80p each

Card aperture mount and envelope 70p each

I have a couple of silk phone cases at £4 each

I will have A4 pieces of silk for sale - to be priced up.

Kathy Paton’s silk painting requirements for stitch clubs in June

Essential:

An oil paint based marker in silver or gold. Made by Pentel and Uni and available from Hobbycraft, The Range, WH Smith and Amazon. About £3:40 each in different sizes. Fine is best but all will work.

Paint Marker Pen PX20 Silver https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00177VJEQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_7676DNNCBHXA63CR4F08

Not so essential:

Bring the items below if you own any of these, but don’t buy specially:

Freezer paper
Silk paints
Silk fabric - Habotai or Pongee. Man made fabric such as polyester doesn’t work.
A palette or a saucer
Small water colour  brushes,

Bring change with you to purchase the things you don’t have from me. I will have a supply of everything.
