Mary Paulger's stitch club - Canvas Work 21st Oct Skellingthorpe Rd


Location - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
LDS Meetinghouse, Skellingthorpe Rd, Lincoln LN6 0PB

10am-3pm
£5 for members and £7.50 for non members

Stitch Club requirements;

You will need a simple design about A5 in size, with at least three distinct areas.
Children's colouring books are a good source
Suggestions are a landscape, hot air balloon passing a bridge, small boat on water etc.

Please bring 
Black permanent marker
Embroidery scissors
Tapestry needles, size 22 or 24
Variety of threads including: 
Stranded cottons - we will be blending 7 or more strands of these to create shading.  examples:blues for sky, grey greens for water.
Tapestry wools  = personal choice
Appleton's crewel wool - these can also be blended in the needle.
A small  (A5) wooden frame ( charity shops are a good source)

I will have canvas, stapler and a couple of spare frames.
Canvas work source books for stitches and inspirations
Variety of yarns etc

Just bring an assortment of what you have and we will share.

AGM together with Kay and Georgina from the Fabric Corner Friday 29th Sept 2017

Kay and Georgina came from Fabric Corner, Melville Street, Lincoln with a selection of textile materials and gave us a demonstation of how to make origami fabric stars
