Vivienne Morpeth - Felt talk 26th April 2013
Nuno felt is good for tailored garments because wool shrinks in the direction in which it is laid, so jackets can be wide across the shoulders and small at the waist; Vivienne put on the most beautiful shaped jacket in grey merging into black edging.
Coarse wool takes longer to felt but has more character as has this beautiful wall-hanging
Vivienne is keen on needle felting birds.
Vivienne showed us a piece of nuno felt she was currently working on, inspired by Rene MacIntosh’s roses.
