Everyone was enthralled with Leonard Thompson's silk painted flowers at the Lincoln Bailgate meeting on 25th May. Have a look at his website to see his beautiful designs www.silkartist.co.uk
He is coming back on Saturday 30th June to do a workshop for us. He will guide us through some lovely silk painting techniques that can be embellished further with stitch.

Kickstart Support Group
I recently told you that the Kickstart for 2013 is based on 'Archives' - click here
I will be organising a Support Group to provide support to Lincoln Bailgate members who want to do Kickstart this year, but would benefit from some further support after the Inspiration/Workshop day.
Due to other commitments, these sessions will be on a Sunday afternoon.
I thought it might be a good idea to have a session in early September before the Inspiration/Workshop day in Lincoln on 22nd September to look at how to get the most of it. Followed by monthly sessions to help with developing ideas and bringing ideas to life.
If you'd like to take part you can email me for more information or register you interest click to email

Mixed Media canvas and string Stitch Club with Janet
Diamonds with a difference.
Janet's stitch clubs are always very popular and today we had a treat as she took us through a mixed media canvas technique using string and tissue before blending acrylic paint into the surface and once dry, we used Treasure Wax to highlight the textures..

Young Embroiderers' Needle cases May 12
The Young Embroiderers have been making needle cases. They first made a
character with a bead head and vividly colourful hair then designed a
smart felt outfit before adding their character to the front of a needle
case - fantastic work, don't you agree?
