August update
It was lovely to see the Luttrell Psalter work reunited for our one day exhibition yesterday and the Afternoon Tea Party was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with what everyone's been up to. I was very impressed with Skellingthorpe Community Centre. The facilities are first class, there's plenty of space, plenty of parking and it's accessible as it's just off the Lincoln by-pass.
The talk at the August meeting by Karen Parry about the history of John James needles was very interesting and every member received a free sample packs. I was amazed at how many processes are involved in making of needles.
The next meeting is our AGM in September. Once we've got the business out of the way we will be having a 'Show and Tell' evening. We have so many talented embroiderers in the branch and we'd like to see what everyone's been doing. So don't be shy, bring something along to show us.
We also want you to bring along your 6"x4" postcards for the My Lincolnshire exhibition - see here for instructions.
The programme of talks for next year has been finalised - the details can be found here. We have included some practical evenings again in response to requests from members. If there's anything you would like us to include in future programmes please let us know and we'll see what we can do
Looking forward to seeing you all soon
Janet
