October Stitch Club - Silk Painting

 On Saturday 17th October, Kathy will be taking us through silk painting.  If you are planning on attending, please let Jacqui know either via our facebook page, or via email, or messenger by the end of the week so Kathy can ensure she has enough supplies.

Kathy will supply everything you need for this stitch club, only charging for the Habotai silk at £1 for an A4 piece, backed with freezer paper.

 We will be using the oil-based marker method which she will supply. However, she does have traditional gutta if you want to try it.

 Kathy will also have a small amount of pre-printed designs that fit cards (£1:10) and bookmarks (80p each).

 By all means, if you have an oil based marker and 100% white silk, bring it along.

 It will be useful to bring clean watercolour brushes if you have them.

 Think about a simple design you could copy. Kathy hasn't tried using an erasable fabric marker to sketch first - we could try that on scrap if you have one!

 Please bring loose change.

As always the stitch club will be held at the Thomas Garrett Building from 10:00 - 15:00.  £5.00 for members and £7.50 for non-members.  I got the yearly membership wrong in the previous post.  It's £10 for the year.

Don't forget to bring a packed lunch.  Tea/coffee/biscuits supplied.  See you there!!!!
