Upcoming July Stitch Club - Stitch and Stamp

Our next stitch club will be on Saturday 18th July, starting at 10:00 and going through until 15:00, at the Thomas Garrett Building, Heighington.

Kathy will be guiding us through using wooden and rubber stamps to create prints which can then be embellished with embroidery stitches.  Kathy will supply ink pads and fabric paints, along with cotton gift bags @ 80p each.

You may like to create a panel for a project or a card.  Kathy will have a small amount of fabric, some aperture cards and envelopes which will be available at a nominal cost.

Requirements List
  • Middle to heavyweight white cotton
  • Basic needlework kit
  • Embroidery threads
  • Seed beads (optional)
  • Double sided tape if you are planning on making a card.
  • Fabric paint if you have any
Feel free to bring other items to stamp, such as tea towels, clothing, cushion covers etc.  But please be aware that rough textures won't print clearly.

It's best to print on top of a smooth foam base.  If you have a smooth kneeling pad or any newspapers or magazines, bring them along, but you don't need to purchase anything specially for the stitch club.

If purchasing anything off Kathy, please bring change and not notes.

Cost for the stitch club is £5.00 members, £7.50 non-members.  Please bring a packed lunch.  Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.  Alternatively, there is a shop nearby where sandwiches etc can be purchased.

We look forward to seeing you there!
