Biscornu Pin Cushion

 There was a smaller group than usual for the September cross-stitch biscornu pin cushion due to holiday and illness, but we all still had a great time as you can see from the photos... and many of us went home with homework to do (looks like Judith is taking a leaf out of Jacqui's book!!)

Our next stitch club will be on Saturday 17th October at the Thomas Garrett Building, Heighington when Kathy will be taking us through doing silk painting.  A requirements list will be provided shortly, but Kathy has stated that she will have all the required materials with her which you will be able to use for a small payment.

Welcome to the start of the new year of stitch clubs at the Thomas Garrett Building in Heighington.

Our first stitch club for the coming year is a Cross Stitch Biscornu Pin Cushion and the session is being run by Judith (we're breaking you in gently!)

Date:   19^th September

Time:   10:00 – 15:00

Tea/Coffee/Biscuits provided.  Please bring a packed lunch (or you can visit the shop in the village)

Requirements List 

• 2 pieces of 14 count aida (11 cms x 11 cms) or 1 piece of aida and 1 piece of fabric for the back
• 4 colours of DMC threads
• Design DMC 224 Shell pink
• 730 Olive green
• 902 Garnet
• 3031 Mocha brown
• Needles suitable for cross stitch and embroidery for the joining the 2 pieces
• Backing-fusible interfacing for softer fabrics
• Buttons optional for centre
• Stuffing
• Scissors
• Ruler or tape measure

The thread from the list above that is the most needed is the garnet shade.

Don’t forget, memberships are due this month.  No increase in charge.  £15.00 for the year and £5.00 per session.

I would be grateful if you would let either Jacqui or Judith know if you are coming, so she knows how many sets of instructions to print off.
