Requirements - or rather bring if you can for Snood creation with Robyn Smith on Saturday

 Requirements:

Resist material- a thick plastic approx 50cm square
Large piece of bubble wrap
Merino wool
Silk fibres or embellishments
Silk fabric if you want to do a bit of nuno felting
Towel.
Plastic bag to take wet felting home in
I’ll bring soap and fairy bottles for water


I will bring all of these with me plus the drum carder so don’t worry if you haven’t got any of the requirements.
For all the materials it will be about £5 or less if you just use some of my stock.

A snood is a neck warmer - we will be making a felted tube to pull over the head to settle round the neck.

No need to bring anything but yourselves

Kathy Paton has asked us to donate craft items

 The Afghan women refugees who are based at the hotels in Grantham are desperate for something to do to pass the time. They are looking for craft items such as wool, knitting needles, cross stitch etc.

 You can drop off these items at Bridge Church, Bridge Central, Portland st, LN5 7NN, Monday -Thursday, 10am-2pm, or Sundays 9.30am-1pm. There will be a black donation box in the reception labelled ‘items for Afghan women’.

PAT testing at Springbok Computers in Lincoln

 If you use your own electrical items at the Thomas Garrett Rooms, you need to get them PAT tested once a year. Springbok Computers offer PAT testing, with stickers and certificate for £1 an item, which is fantastic. I have a small iron PAT tested which we can all use, as well as an extension lead (which I didn't bring on Saturday, but will do in future); I have used Lincoln Stitchers as the name to whom the certificate is given, together with my own address; you could do the same.

Springbok is located on the High Street between Speed frame and the Ritz. The boys (men) are helpful. They are brilliant if you any computer issues too.

Requirements

• 2 pieces of card 6”x 2” lightly scored on one side at 2” intervals
• 2 pieces of thin wadding 6”x 2”
• 2 pieces of cotton fabric 7.5” x 3.5 “
• 2 pieces felt to complement fabric 5.75” x 1.75”
• 20” ribbon
• Stick glue
• Sewing cotton to match material
• Sewing kit

I will have the materials and assorted colours of material of all the above items free for anyone who wants them.

This size box will hold 8 - 10 after eight mints
